Additional roof space such as dormer windows must not exceed the following allowances:
• 40 cubic metres for terraced houses.
• 50 cubic metres for detached and semi-detached houses.
Yes, no part of the loft conversion can be higher than the highest part of the existing roof.
If the principal elevation of your house fronts a highway, an extension that exceeds the plane of the existing roof slope is not allowed.
No. Balconies, veranda’s and raised platforms are not allowed in the planning regulations.
The materials you use to construct the loft conversion must be in keeping with the materials used to originally build the house.

You don’t need plans to begin the process with us, we work with chartered architects and so can arrange for the plans to be drawn, however, we are happy to work to your plans if you have already had them drawn up.

You would only need a party wall agreement if you live in a semidetached or terraced house and therefore have an adjoining wall between you & your neighbor. If you sign with us we can provide a party wall letter for your neighbor to sign. If your neighbor doesn’t agree you would have to appoint a Party Wall.
We usually complete the work to a chipboard finish, however we can arrange for carpets to be fitted at an additional cost.
No, we ask clients to supply tiles, grout and adhesive and we tile the room. We do have preferred suppliers and so we can get a trade discount.

We usually complete the walls to a plaster finish, however, we can arrange for decorating to done at an additional cost.
