Designated land means conservation areas, national parks and the broads, World Heritage sites and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Houses that are built on designated land are not allowed to have roof extensions.
Additional roof space such as dormer windows must not exceed the following allowances:
• 40 cubic metres for terraced houses.
• 50 cubic metres for detached and semi-detached houses.
Each project differs and it really does depend on your property and the specification you choose. Please call us on 0207 97 11110 to arrange an appointment for a FREE QUOTATION.
You don’t need plans to begin the process with us, we work with chartered architects and so can arrange for the plans to be drawn, however, we are happy to work to your plans if you have already had them drawn up.
You would only need a party wall agreement if you live in a semidetached or terraced house and therefore have an adjoining wall between you & your neighbor. If you sign with us we can provide a party wall letter for your neighbor to sign. If your neighbor doesn’t agree you would have to appoint a Party Wall.
